Federal Governmental Control Over our Lives

As Lazarus Long (a 2000 year old man) said:

Political tags–such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and. so forth–are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. The former are idealists acting from highest motives for the greatest good of the greatest number. The latter are surly curmudgeons, suspicious and lacking in altruism. But they are more comfortable neighbors than the other sort.

Per Ayn Rand:

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.

Every law placed into being has the implied statement, “If you don’t do this we will make you do it.” ┬áThere is also an implied threat, “If you don’t do what we say, we will hurt you.”….. and, ultimately, if we do not cooperate, “We will kill you.” This should never be forgotten as we hear any who express their support for laws to compel us to do what they believe is correct. It is a form of elitism – with them at the helm.

I like this from Senator Paul:
