Night and Day by Cole Porter

I wrote a piece about my mother (posted on KenRisley.com). There I spoke of a dream (nightmare actually) I had as a young boy as I drifted off to sleep to my mother’s playing of this song on the piano. For years I did not like the melody not realizing the association. In my mid adult years I realized that the song was Night and Day by Cole Porter. In recent months I’ve grown to like the song and decided to sit down and to a quick recording (mistakes and all) of this song in dedication to Mom. I am pretty much improvising my way through the song – so forgive the little blind corners and finger boo boos. But, hey, I’m no pro. But it serves a little memory tag, among many, of my mother.
