Please Fly to Me

I wrote this song in 2016. It’s a personal story about how I met Kim and how we grew our lives together. I hope you enjoy it.

As a personal note, I wrote both the lyrics and the music, but I could never get through recording it myself. It was simply too emotional, too close to the heart.

With the help of modern AI, I was able to teach the song to a voice that could carry it all the way through and give it a performance I couldn’t. A better singer than me, and for this song, that mattered.

This isn’t new. It’s how the pros have always done it. I once heard Burt Bacharach sing. He wrote some of the most beautiful songs of my era, but he couldn’t sing worth a darn. The music still mattered. And it still does.

I won’t stop performing.

But on this one, I needed help.
