November 2025 Trip to Qatar, India and Nepal
Our November trip covered 18 days across Qatar, India, and Nepal, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable journeys we’ve taken. We began with two days in Qatar on our own, exploring Doha, its architecture, museums, souks, and waterfront areas. It was a comfortable and easy introduction to that part of the world before heading into the intensity of India.
When we arrived in India, we deliberately scheduled the first three days on our own in New Delhi. We hired a private driver and covered several areas that Gate One wouldn’t be visiting, including markets, historic sites, temples, and neighborhoods off the tourist track. After that independent stretch, we joined the Gate One tour and moved through the Golden Triangle, taking in Jaipur, Agra, the Taj Mahal, the Baby Taj, an Indian school, a Sikh temple, and a long list of cultural and historic sites that made the country impossible to forget.
Nepal closed the trip with a change of pace. We visited the Kathmandu Valley, the Boudhanath Stupa, watched a cremation ceremony along the river, and took a flight toward the Everest range. Despite recent political unrest, the country was peaceful and welcoming during our stay. For anyone interested in seeing what the trip looked like,
I created a playlist of five videos: Qatar, India Part I (just us), India with Gate One, Part One, then India with Gate One, Part 2, and finally a video on Nepal. Each one is under an hour and gives a clear look into what we saw and experienced. Best to watch on a large screen if you can.
Many don’t like these kinds of videos (“don’t have time :-)” and I totally understand. This is mainly for folks, usually close to us, who wanted a run down on what we were doing over there. This covers it. Hope you enjoy.
